Successful Museum Night at the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar
The International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar marked this year’s Museum Night by welcoming more than 1,000 visitors, including a large number of children and young people. Visitors explored the world of underwater heritage through a diverse and engaging programme held at the St. Nicholas Educational and Presentation Centre.
The photo exhibition “Life of the Submerged Heritage” attracted particular attention, presenting the unique coexistence of archaeological sites and marine life. The creative workshop “Little Shipwrights” invited participants to build models of traditional boats, while the game tournament “Heritage in Play” combined classic gameplay with underwater heritage themes.
Throughout the evening, visitors joined expert-guided tours of the exhibition, and the youngest guests enjoyed the creative corner “Little Guardians of the Sea.” The strong turnout and positive feedback highlighted the importance of bringing underwater cultural heritage closer to the public.
