Study visit to the International Center for Underwater Archeology of the Jeollanam Provincial Council from the Republic of Korea

As part of a study visit to the Zadar region, 14 members of the Jeollanam Provincial Council visited the International Center for Underwater Archeology in Zadar (MCPA) on Thursday, June 23th, 2024. 

On this occasion they visited the newly opened St. Nicholas centre for Education and Presentation in the premises of the former church and monastery of St. Nicholas in Zadar, members of the Jeollanam Provincial Council were addressed by the director of the Tourist Board of Zadar, Iva Bencun, who gave them a detailed presentation of models for managing a clean coast and sustainable tourism in Zadar, a favorite destination for visitors from the Republic of Korea.

The employees of MCPA Zadar presented and explained in more detail the processes of research, conservation and restoration of underwater cultural heritage.
