Exploration at Sestrice island started

As part of the "Rovinj Shipwrecks" project, the staff of the International Center for Underwater Archeology in Zadar continue archaeological research in the underwater areas of Rovinj. This year, exploration of ancient shipwreck in the vicinity of Velika Sestrica island began. Investigations are taking place with the financial support of the Rovinj Tourist Board and the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the Bavarian Society for Underwater Archeology (BGfU). Parallel with archaeological research, ICUA staff organized underwater archeology courses under the NAS program and an underwater photogrammetry course.
