Bastion and the former church of St. Nicholas within the Zadar fortification system

On the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the inscription of the Defensive System of Zadar on the UNESCO World Heritage List, opening ceremony of the exhibition "Bastion and the former church of St. Nicholas within the Zadar fortification system” was held in the Exhibition Hall of the University of Zadar Research Library. The exhibition forms an integral part of the "Embrace Zadar" event, which is organized by the City of Zadar.

The organizers of the exhibition are the University of Zadar Research Library and the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar. Authors of the exhibition are Tomislav Blažević (Research Library) and Luka Bratović (ICUA). At the opening ceremony, Doris Kurtov (ICUA) held a short presentation entitled "International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar, UNESCO Category II. Centre. Protection and Promotion of Underwater Cultural Heritage”. Technical support was provided by Brajen Dragičević, David Lonić and Marijo Dunat, employees of Research Library.

The exhibition will remain open until until August 9, 2024, within the Research Library’s working hours:

These hours span from July 15 to August 18, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Library is closed on Saturdays.

*Starting on Monday, August 19, the Library will operate during its regular working hours.
