Visit of the ISHA Association

As part of the Manifestation XVII History Days, organized by the ISHA (International Students of History Association) Zadar, 20 history students from various universities in the Republic of Croatia, accompanied by the President of the Association Fabijan Božić, visited today the International Center for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar (MCPA). The employees of MCPA Zadar presented and explained in more detail the processes of research, conservation and restoration of underwater cultural heritage.
On this occasion, the students visited the restoration and conservation workshop, where they learned about the methods of conservation and restoration of objects made of metal, clay and organic materials, and then they visited the newly opened St. Nicholas centre for Education and Presentation in the premises of the former church and monastery of St. Nicholas in Zadar, where they got familiar the permanent display of underwater cultural heritage.
