Cultural Cooperation Program signed between the Republic of Croatia and the Russian Federation

During his official visit to Croatia Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the Minister of Culture and Media Nina Obuljen Koržinek signed the sixth Program of Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Croatia and the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of culture for the 2020-2022 period.
The program encourages exchange and cooperation between artists, cultural and art institutions and associations, as well as direct cooperation between cultural institutions of mutual interest. Mutual cooperation encompasses a wide range of activities related to museums, galleries, performing arts, literature and publishing, as well as the existing high level of cooperation in the area of audiovisual activities.
In the field of cultural heritage the cooperation was specially highlighted between the Centre for Underwater Research of the Russian Geographical Society, Centre for Marine Research of the Moscow State University M. V. Lomonosov and the International Centre for Underwater Archeology in Zadar, UNESCO category 2 centre.
Signing this Program will improve the already existing cooperation between organizations, artists and experts. In addition to good and rich bilateral cooperation between the two countries which is achieved through direct contacts between cultural institutions and artists working in Croatia and Russia, the cooperation within international platforms will also continue.
