International conference Underwater cultural heritage in Europe today International centre for underwater archaeology in Zadar, 24th - 27th October 2018

By organizing a two-day international conference "Underwater Cultural Heritage in Europe Today" under the auspices of UNESCO's Director-General Ms. Audray Azoulay, the International Centre for Underwater Archeology in Zadar has joined a number of Croatian and European institutions in marking the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 thus putting a cultural heritage in the center of attention.

The International Conference Underwater Cultural Heritage in Europe today is organized by the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar in co-operation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia. The event will take place in Zadar at the former St. Nicholas church within the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology from the 25th to 27th October 2018.

Underwater Cultural Heritage in Europe today

On the occasion of the European Year of Cultural Heritage the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar will organize the international conference on Underwater Cultural Heritage of the EU and Europe under the title ''Underwater Cultural Heritage in Europe today''.

Submerged heritage of the First World War

The International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar is organizing an international conference on cultural tourism with an emphasis on the First World War in collaboration with the organisation INOVAcija as a part of the NETWORLD project.

The Conference named “Submerged heritage of the First World War” will take place in Zadar on the 12th June 2018 at St. Nicholas church within the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology. The date of the Conference was symbolically chosen on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Austro-Hungarian navy Szent István which we mark this way.

International Congress on Underwater Archaeology IKUWA 4

During September and October of 2011 (29.09. - 02.10.2011) Zadar will play host to the fourth international congress on underwater archaeology (IKUWA 4), to be held under the theme title "Managing the Underwater Cultural Heritage". With the support of UNESCO the congress will be organised by the Croatian Ministry of Culture, the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, the County of Zadar, the City of Zadar, the University of Zadar, the City of Nin, Archaeological Museum of Zadar and the International Centre for Underwater Archaeology in Zadar.
